Howard has also designed two books: one is about a cat with extra toes named City the Kitty, and the other is about a six time NBA All-Star named Pau Gasol.
Outside of the creative world, Howard worked fulltime as a general manager of a boutique hotel in Huntington Beach, California, an operations analyst for a physicians management group in San Francisco, and when he was in high school, a cashier at Toys-R-Us during Christmas time.
On his spare time, Howard plays goaltender in several adult hockey leagues. He is often the leader in penalty minutes on his team, probably attributed to his experience at the toy store during his high school days. Howard did sit on the bench for one game as an emergency back up goalie for the Idaho Steelheads in the ECHL. We believe he is the first Chinese National born in Taiwan to dress for a professional hockey game. He also loves to cook. His beef noodle soup (牛肉面) is legendary, but his father is about to disown him for claiming the family recipe as his own. Howard currently lives in San Diego with his wife Carrie, and their two cats.
